The Politician Integrity Rating Tool (PIRT) is but one tool on TheNewIQ.com website, which is devoted to helping upgrade internal exploration and public discourse about what integrity truly is and how to upgrade it personally, in our relationships, in our communities, in our businesses as a society, in leadership and in politics.
Why do so few of us live in integrity with all three of our Three Core Drives (authenticity, connection and impact)? Why don't we fully express the high side of them in a coordinated and aligned way in our day-to-day lives? How do we start falling out of integrity in the first place?
People travel one of three paths with their integrity. Some are Natural Developers. These are people who, like natural athletes, develop 3D integrity effortlessly. The second group are Deliberate Developers. These are like athletes who practice, practice, practice till they excel, even if their initial abilities don't put them in the first group. Finally, there are those who don't choose to continue to develop as adults.
Integrity in a Nutshell
- We all have three core drives. They are:
Authenticity -- personal wellbeing and being your true self
Connection -- nourising and productive co-creation with others
Impact -- making a positive difference in your world
Understanding your three core drives turns integrity from a vague concept into a practical necessity.
Are you aware of a deep desire within you to be who you truly are in all parts of your life? We all have a deep thirst for personal freedom, inner wellbeing, and creative self-expression. How long ago did you water down or give up on your drive to be your truest self? Or did you instead end up focusing primarily on being yourself above all else?
Mental Health Professionals Preface to
A Declaration of Global Responsibility
By David Gruder, Ph.D.
Dr. Gruder wrote the landmark document, A Declaration of Global Responsibility, in response to the events of September 11, 2001 and the problems that led up to that infamous day, because of how profoundly impacted he was by having been in New York on 9/11 and having spent time at Ground Zero during the week following this tragedy.
The Declaration proposes a comprehensive set of principles for dealing with all forms of extremism, or what Dr. Gruder refers to as Fanaticism Disorder.
